Root Canal Treatment

Endodontic therapy, another name for root canal therapy , is a dental procedure used to treat tooth pulp that is infected or damaged. The tooth's pulp, which is its innermost layer, is made up of connective tissue, blood vessels, and nerves. If left untreated, deep decay, fractures, trauma, or repeated dental procedures can all cause the pulp to become inflamed or infected, which can cause severe discomfort and eventually result in the formation of an abscess.
Dr. Kishore Dental Care focus on providing Root canal treatment to the patient utilizing latest techniques of rotary Endodontics thereby reducing clinical procedure time. The procedures usually take 30-35 minutes and can be completed in one or two visits depending upon the condition of the tooth.

Process of Root Canal Treatment:

Anesthesia:To ensure the patient is pain-free throughout the procedure, local anesthetic is used to numb the area surrounding the damaged tooth.
Access: The dentist creates an opening in the crown of the tooth to access the pulp chamber and root canals.
Cleaning and Shaping:The pulp chamber and root canals are cleaned by using specialized instruments to remove any diseased or damaged pulp tissue. After that, the canals are shaped, cleaned, and disinfected to get rid of germs and debris.
Filling:To seal the space and stop additional infection, the canals are filled with a biocompatible substance called gutta-percha after they have been carefully cleaned and shaped. A temporary or permanent filling is then used to seal the access opening in the crown.
Restoration: If a sizable amount of the tooth's structure has been removed during the procedure, a dental crown may be positioned over the tooth in certain situations to restore its strength, functionality, and appearance.
